The overall aim of the project is to create a unique platform that will optimize and manage the deployment of serverless applications in multi-cloud environments. The platform will be dedicated to data-intensive business applications that experience temporary workflow peaks and could benefit from:
- cost-efficiency and scalability of serverless architecture
- seamless, cloud agnostic allocation of resources between multiple cloud providers
Functionizer will be an open source platform dedicated to application developers. We respond to key challenges of the cloud domain today. IoT, scientific research, and other generate great amount of data at a speed impossible to handle. Companies try to leverage resources of cloud providers to their specific needs. Combined with serverless architecture, this approach will let applications scale automatically to even thousands of simultaneously running functions. Functionizer will support migration to serverless model and optimisation of underlying multi-cloud resources.
